Esztergom now sits across the river from Slovakia, but once was the capital city of Hungary, located smack-dab in the middle of its expansive reign. Times have changed, but this charming town's basilica still remains the largest in the country. Bonus: parts of the castle and original wall still remain, creating quite the classicist ambiance.
