River Cruise In Palo Verde National Park is a fun wildlife watching adventure. The main attraction here are the Brazilian long-nosed bats. They roost out in the open by clinging to the trunk of a tree that rises out of the water. The bats arrange themselves in neat vertical rows, merging perfectly with the pattern of the bark. The reason these bats form a line becomes apparent when they feel threatened. They start swaying back and forth which makes them look like a moving snake.
