It took me 8 hours to hike the round trip from Las Torres camping ground to Base de las Torres lookout. Uphill for the first hour, on a trail of rock and dirt with Calafate trees on the path sides. The second hour was more undulating with some steep uphill bits. Views of the river through a gorge and black glistening mountainous ridges. The third hour was through forest and the last hour to reach the Torres lookout was steep scree, rock and a hard climb. It’s worth it when the view of a blue lake peeking between boulders and the three rock towers behind come into view. #chile #torresdelpaine #trekking
