Note: make sure to have a day or two of acclimatization before your visit! Pastoruri Glacier is a quickly receding glacier in the north of Peru. Easily visited as a day trip from Huaraz, be sure to visit before this incredible chunk of ice disappears forever. While it is an easy walk of about 30 minutes on a paved path, the challenge lies in the high altitude of 5,000m above sea level.
