Circus art in Belarus can be traced back to the late 19th century, and prior to that many European circuses and shows passed through the country. The stone built circus venue was the first stationary winter circus built in the Soviet Union, allowing any kind of performance from water shows to aerial acrobatics. The circus not only features Belarusian shows but shows from across the world. A word of warning ~ animals are still used in many of the performances.
