Sierra Maestra is a mountain range that is located in the southeastern part of Cuba. The mountains are heavily wooded which makes them a beautiful green scenery. The tallest peak is Turquino. This area was very important during the revolution since Fidel Castro and his men had base in the mountain. The biggest city in the region is Santiago de Cuba.
