Barkhor Street is the famous Street in old town Lhasa that follows the Kora around Jokhang Temple (a prayer an prostration circuit that goes clockwise around temples). The Jokhang Temple is the most famous temple in all of Tibet and pilgrims come from all around to prostrate and do the kora and it’s a fascinating thing to witness. I’ve never been anywhere so religious in all my life. That being said this is also the place to buy souvenirs. A lot of it is overpriced so make sure to haggle a lot. This street is my favorite people watching place I’ve ever been in my life.
