Shirley F.'s experience in Kyoto

Uogashi Miyatake
Recommended by my art teacher on my recent trip back to Kyoto, this residential looking restaurant is definitely hole in a wall kind of place. With usually a long line for lunch, it’s traditional Japanese style lunch is incredibly affordable and delicious. Although I’ve never been for dinner, it appears that dinner is typically popular with a variety of Japanese dishes and sake. Lunch is from 10-2pm with last order at 1:30pm. Check with them for updated schedule. Also limited English available so bring a friend or Google Translator. uogashi-miyatake.jp
