How to Spend a Day in Mexico City
Mexico City mixes traditional with modern, Aztec with Spanish. Listen to the tinny music of 1800s street organs and chirping of traffic police whistles. When your legs need a rest take a seat in Alameda Park just down from the Palacio de Bellas Artes, a cultural centre and worth looking at just for the architecture. So much to see and learn in the historical centre and further out. You could spend a week here! Add in a visit to Xochimilco Market and Canals while you're not too far away at the Frida Kahlo museum or take a day trip out to the Teotihuacan Pyramids and Guadalupe Basilica.
