There is more to Quito than the historical sights of Old Town and nightlife of La Mariscal. Guápulo and La Floresta are two neighbourhoods with their own unique arty and independent vibes. It is worth exploring their streets, cafes and restaurants. Both are accessible by foot from the popular tourist area of La Mariscal, or a short taxi ride from Old Town. Quito Street Tours do great walking tours of both neighbourhoods.
