Mercado San Telmo: Where Locals And Tourists Meet
A few weeks ago, La Nacion (Argentina’s main newspaper), published an article about the new “Mercado de San Telmo” which is on its way to become one of the city main spot for gastronomy. Located in the heart of the historical Buenos Aires and inaugurated in 1897 the market has always been part of the capital culture and history.Today it’s a must-see for all the tourists but also a place for locals to shops or grab a bite (we avoid it on the weekends though). In the past few months many new small restaurants were opened and it’s now a great mix of old and new, local and foreign ... a bit like Argentina!
