Cool, alternative and unique! Fitzroy is known for its bohemian lifestyle that attracts artists, students and the queer community. It is Melbourne’s hip and trendy district that has a vibrant energy! Here you will find many of the cities top vintage shops, street art and bars! During the day the vibe is relaxed so head to the popular brunch spots to people watch and chill out followed by a shopping spree. At night the district truly comes alive and houses many of the city's live music venues, bars and clubs. Fitzroy is also the vegetarian and vegan capital of Melbourne as many of the restaurants are completely vegetarian or have an extensive vegan menu. Catch the 11 or 96 tram from the city and start your day off off at one of the popular cafes and finish it off at one of the cool bars.
