Kiama is a beautiful and iconic town on the East Coast of Australia and is a 2 hour drive south of Sydney. It boasts a number of gorgeous surf beaches, coastal walks, picnic spots and the famous Kiama Blowhole. I spent a week in Kiama and rented an airbnb just outside the town centre. Most sights are within walking distance but I would suggest hiring a car so you can do a number of the fantastic day trips out of Kiama like Jamberoo Lookout or Minnamurra Rainforest.
