Ipoh is a city built on tin-mining and is famous for its white coffee. The old town area was rebuilt after a fire that destroyed the town in 1892, with a number of colonial buildings from the British era. The old town is compact and can be easily explored by foot. One will find many creative and interesting murals by the local artists on Mural Art’s lane. You will also find artwork of the famous Lithuanian artist Ernest Zacharevic.
