Hi everyone! I will be in Jakarta for 5 days in December. Can you please recommend me all the best foods, best things to do there? I heard there are day trips to nice beaches nearby, is that true? Where can I find that info?

You can visit Kota tua (old town) and try cafe batavia. You should try Nasi padang, great experience ?. For beach, you need take a boat to pulau seribu (thousand island). Depend of budget.

For budget traveller, you can take a local boat (together with local), only cost you rp. 35.000 ($2,5) from pasar ikan, north jakarta. For mid range traveller, you can join open trip for this, more comfortable and safe. I think around $30-$50. For foreign maybe price is is more expensive .
