Can trains be late in italy. And if so, for how long for example? Would it be late for hours?

I’m not sure. But I can say that I’ve never experienced a train being late here.
Generally in Northern Italy they are on time (within 10 minutes). I only experienced an hour delay once.
Haha Compared to Germany/Switzerland they are late often. I would say the regional trains can be late more often than the high speed trains connecting the big cities.
I have had really bad experiences with train delays in northern Italy. Once I had a transfer but since the first train was late I missed the second one and they refused to pay me back or anything, I had to buy another ticket and pay more like it was my mistake. Depends which train u take it..freccia rossa and Italo on time most of... but the others it’s a problems.
