Salamanca down at Barceloneta is good and the atmosphere fun; go to the beach around 7-7:30 to see the best sunset and then head in for dinner

I agree Barceloneta the best place for paella. Also try the Arroz Negro (made with squid ink)!!! And don't miss my favorite place to have a drink on earth Can Paixano "La Xampanyeria" which is on the way walking to Barceloneta. Carrer de la Reina Cristina. Get a bottle of the pink stuff. SO FUN.
