jay's question in Mexico

Food / Nightlife

Hey everyone....I’m headed to Mexico City tomorrow. I’ve never been, any recommendations food, drinks or fun stuff to do would be great! Or if anyone’s in town and wants to hang out, let me know. Cheers, Jay

Here are some ideas for things to do https://travelstoke.matadornetwork.com/lists/DwONv56y/
I highly recommend that you take in a performance by the Ballet Folklorico de Mexico. It’s really fun and memorable, it was the best part of my entire trip!
do you know if they have performances every day?
Teotihuacan is a must (biggest pyramids after Egypt). Go early in the morning. And the Anthropology museum.
I have heard mixed reviews about the pyramids, how long to get out there and how much time do you think you would spend?
Heresy! Amazing structures. You get there and your like holy shit this place should be more famous. They were ruins to the “Aztec” people as well so it’s all shrouded in mystery. A fully lost civilization. Also you notice the pyramids are built to the same exact degree as the mountains in…
Look at how these things fit in to the surroundings. I never forgot it. Pretty magnificent architecture. https://bit.ly/2ItmxzR
Sold! Thanks for the tips.
you recommend Teotihuacan?
I saw a show on a Sunday and I know there is one other day. I think its Wednesday but not sure. Also if you buy your ticket in advance online, you DO NOT pick up your ticket at the theater box office before the show. You need to stop by a TicketMaster location, there’s one in the Liverpool department store near the Zocalo.
Teotihuacan is worth it - go early and if you want to treat yourself do a hot air balloon ride. Also second the anthropology museum. My fave museum is Frida’s house - casa azul - book tix in advance so you dont have to join the huge lines.
