Hey there folks! My brother and mom (both foodies) will be in Madrid and Barcelona in a couple weeks. They’re looking for awesome local spots to eat at and must go-tos. Any recs? So much love and thanks!

A must not miss is La Xampanyeria bar on Carrer de la Reina Cristina in Barcelona. Its my single favorite place to eat on earth.

this Ethiopian place called Abissinia in Gracia that I recently went to was great
Carrer de Blai - blai street is ideal for sampling various tapas that are also super cheap
Also Bar bitacora on the bach, Hummus Barcelona for delicious hummus and pita in Eixample, Pepa tomate in Gracia for local cuisine, Gut in gracia, again local; Bicioci in gracia for beetroot hummus and other healthy things

Don’t miss the « Sol Soler » in Garcia, the patatas bravas are insane!!
In Madrid, go to Platea (plaza de Colon), for a foodie experience. Some old taverns like La Ardosa (vermouth) or La Dolores. Many places in Barrio de las Letras (Triciclo, Vinoteca Moratin), Arzabal, García de la Navarra...; you have to try Cocido Madrileño in La Bola or La Daniela and Huevos…
