I have to questions about San Pedro de Atacama. First, what did you guys think of Salar de Tara? The cheapest tour I found is 39000 CLP (or 66 USD) and it lasts the whole day. Is it worth the money and time? Or should I skip it and use the money somewhere else? Second, the nightlife. I'm travelling solo for the first time and I want to be careful, but I would like to go out a few nights. Any recommendations?

Hey Manu. I didn’t do Salar de Tara but I can speak to the nightlife - it’s mostly a chill scene or a dinner eating scene with only a few places open later. Most people hang out at bars in their groups. It’s not a huge town so be safe if you are out alone. See if your hotel / hostel has a shuttle service for safety.
