My partner and I will be visiting Tbilisi next month for two weeks. Can anyone suggest some good trips out of the city for a day? We don't want to stay over but don't mind early starts and late finishes, any form of transport is ok with us, we're fairly easy going.

Kazbegi +Ananuri Castle, Mtskheta +Jvari, Gori+Uplistsikhe, Sighnaghi, a bit far away - Vardzia

however, its better to rent a car if you’ll do Kazbegi and Ananuri, this way you can stop at Ananuri, Zhinvali Reservoir or Georgia-Russia friendship monument.
