There are not many botanical gardens in Prague but this one is merited by its location away from the centre. Although it straddles a main road, the high wall and meticulously kept flower beds and pedestrian bridges make it a world away from highways and shopping malls. Furthermore it's free to enter. In a large pond flanked by a whitewashed villa are an abundance of Koi fish. There you can spot moor hens, ducks and even the occasional nutria wallowing in its banks. The greenhouse to the rear houses a cornucopia of cacti and the main section hosts exotic plants from around the world.
