One of the most fetching 'little' squares I came across was that of Rossio Square. Its chocolate-box design constitutes curvy patterned pavement and two symmetrically placed fountains either side of the square. In the past it's hosted everything from celebrations to executions and even bullfights. I glanced down upon this square from Santa Justa lift and knew I just had to walk through it. #architecture #free #history
