Baikal National Park
Baikal Lake is the highlight of any trip in Russia. It's the largest freshwater lake by volume in the world and it contains more than 20% of the total volume of freshwater on the planet! Its total surface exceeds 32 000 km2. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This little sea is astonishing, in all seasons. But in winter, when it's covered by around 1 meter of ice and you can cross it by car, by hydroplane, do ice-skating, cycling... it's unique. The almost transparent ice and its crystals, stalactites, and rocks are amazingly beautiful. It's worth going out by -35° C! #baikal #siberia #russia
