Just about every kid in New York City knows “the dinosaur museum” and your child will never forgive you if a visit here is not on your NYC itinerary. The titanosaur, just installed two years ago, is probably the biggest hit with the youngsters. It’s so massive that it’s head sticks out of the display room and into the hallway. The planetarium and IMAX films are also very popular and don’t miss the gigantic blue whale model. I personally love the Spitzer Hall and the exhibit on hominid evolution, where you can meet the famous “Lucy” and “Turkana Boy” fossil casts and reflect on the common origins of all humanity.
