Ocean Beach Fire Pits
It’s easy to forget SF is a beach town, seeing as this stretch of shoreline can be socked in with fog most of the year and icy currents have taken lives. But on a warm June day, with mellow summer swells, OB can be an amazing place to hang out. Even longboarders might venture into the chilly waves. Locals know that all year it’s a great place to walk your dog or take an urban hike, provided you’re wearing a down jacket. The beach is long and near the dunes it feels isolated and far from the city, so it’s a worthwhile hike.
