Ceviche Soho
If you have never tried Peruvian food before; dishes at Ceviche are a great introduction. Being one of three other restaurants in London, under the same ownership, each restaurant focuses on regional dishes from the Andean cordillera. Typical ingredients such as quinoa and yuca come into play and the spicy tiger sauce, made from lemon juice give the piquant dishes a real lift. I opted for the camarónes plateada which was served with an avocado half, peppered with quinoa and delicately topped with a sweet potato crisp. The dish was light yet robust and easily digestible for those with some tolerance to spicy food. The two dishes I ordered, arrived briskly and all at once. The bar area is perfect for flâneurs and bon vivants, given the right angle view of one of soho's busiest streets. Staff code-switch in Spanish and English and are happy conversing in either, with customers. Most importantly they are on tap to answer any queries about the menu. Overall this was savory experience and one that entices me to visit one of the other sister restaurants soon. Location: 17 Frith St, Soho, London W1D 4RG, UK #free-wifi #peruvian #restaurant #ceviche
