Less than two hours drive from the city, Bass Point is Sydney’s best shore diving daytrip, with at least four superb sites in close proximity. Dead-easy Bushrangers Bay is almost always lake-flat and crystal clear. The Gutter’s stunning 20m reef almost guarantees sightings of rare weedy seadragons, while diving between the pylons of the Gravel Loader is all light, atmosphere and flashing schools of fish.
