[CLOSED] Nasi Lemak Kukus
Nasi Lemak, with its distinctive fragrant rice, is another favourite local delight for me and I am so glad to discover this hidden gem, Nasi Lemak Kukus, next to Little India. The rice is boosted to be steamed with tenacious care and indeed, it is so good you can have it on its own. Best of all, this place allows us to have free flow of rice, you just need to pay for the accompanying dishes you can pick and choose from the selection of local Malay dishes. This place is run with a communal concept where each one is expected to look after your own needs, i.e. pick and serve your own meal and clearing up the table after. I applaud this attempt to inculcate civic-mindedness. Visit during the day and then pop over to Little India over the adjacent road for a sensory assault. Needless to say, you can have your share of Indian curry, prata, yogurt, spices and more within the precinct while you are there. #lunch #dinner #cheap-eats #littleindia #local #golocal #food #foodietour #rice #culture
