This baroque Basilica of San Juan de Dios glistens with gold interiors and is a total contrast to the white and light Cathedral of Granada. Standing proud at the front is the gold altarpiece, with a staircase behind leading to the remains of San Juan (soldier turned health-care worker & one of Spain's leading religious figures).
