No place can be more central to Bath other than Bath Abbey. Its obvious feature are the massive flying buttresses around the clerestory. The abbey is conveniently placed directly opposite the Roman Baths enabling tourists to tick to two sights in one hit. Entry is free, although donations are strongly recommended. Opening times: 9am - 5.30pm; Tuesday to Friday (till 6pm on Saturdays). 9.30am - 5.30pm on Mondays.
