We spend most of our time on Hong Kong Island though our hotel is in Kowloon. Though we should have made a smarter choice of finding accommodation on Hong Kong Island instead (as Kowloon is cheaper), Nevertheless, I really enjoy the night scene back at Kowloon. Instead of taking the MTR (Mass Transit Railway) to go from one place to another, we walk instead. Our hotel is next to Nathan Road and it is lovely to walk up and down this main artery that connects the MTR and many excitingplaces in Kowloon. Try the street food lined along the streets as you soak in the scene of the moving crowd and the flashy neon lights against the dark sky. Here you can en-route to many Hong Kong markets such as Ladies' Market and Template Street Night Market for some cheap bargains. Chungking Mansion, which is romanticized forever in Wong Kar-wai's Chungking Express, is close by too.
