This is one of my favorite trails in the Clearwater National Forest, Idaho. About 4 miles in is the confluence of Cayuse Creek pouring into Kelly Creek. It makes for an amazing camping and fishing spot, and rock skipping spot, according to my son. Another 4 miles out is Hansen Meadows, a beautiful place to spend the night. Although, getting down to the water from the main trail is a bit of a walk. Beyond that, the trail continues up into the mountains towards Montana. There is a beautiful, 50-mile loop that can be made out here that I haven’t done yet. One day, one day.
