Deep Creek Trail
Deep Creek is a section of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park located in Bryson City, NC. This section of the park is known for its waterfalls, streams, hiking, fly fishing and tubing. Make a day out of it by renting a tube for as little as $3 or $4 (I recommend JJ's tubes on your way in to the park).  Hike as far as they'll let you with your tube (it's about a 1 or 1.5 miles) and then enjoy the ride. The "creek" (usually more of a river, especially if you go after a storm), is a nice mix of relaxing and rapids. After a couple trips down the river, stop back at the parking lot and dig in to whatever lunch/snacks you've packed.  After lunch, you can hike some of the other trails, check out Juneywhank Falls (not along the part that you tube), and then when you're ready to cool off head back out with your tube. Tip:  Wear water shoes or sandals that strap on to your feet so you aren't uncomfortable while walking the path. If going with children, please use common sense and make sure they understand how rapids work (if you fall out of the tube, keep your feet up so they don't get trapped under rocks) and know how to swim. #hiking #activekids #funforteens #camping
