There are some first class displays of cured ham in this tapas bar cum restaurant. All cuts are Iberico Bellota and Cebo, which gives the proprietor cause to charge a little over the odds at this small chain of five restaurants dotted around London. I was surprised to see hams aged for five years compared to the normal curing time of 36 months of this type. The bar is as one would expect of a tapas bar in Salamanca; more polished than most in Andalusia but the fixtures and furnishings were as if they'd been lifted from a bar in Granada or Cordoba. The bar staff were clearly South American but knew their way around the menu and its intricacies. The bar lies on the rather busy Putney High Street two thirds of the way down from riverside. Exit either Putney Bridge or East Putney underground stop on the district line. It is almost equidistant from both stations. Opening times: 10am – 11pm from Sunday to Wednesday (until 12am on Thursdays); 10am – 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.
