Now, there are many tea houses in Hong Kong, and there is The Tea House in Hong Kong. Ling Heung Tea House (蓮香樓) has earned the venerable reputation of being as authentic as it can be, with patrons enjoying their tea with water boiled using a charcoal burner by the side of their table, and the luxury of hoarding a seat as you read your morning newspapers after a meal, that is, if you can ignore the noise and never-ending crowd swirling around you. The experience here is unique and oh-so-nostalgic though the food is moderate at best.
