Wieliczka’s salt mine is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. I really didn’t know what to expect when I booked the tickets but it definitely exceeded my expectations. Absolutely everything is made of rock salt and the floors are mainly smooth because of the amount of people walking on it; it’s impossible to describe its beauty, you just have o see it for yourself! The guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and the tour was reasonably cheap too! Book online! Just be aware you have to pay 10PLN for a photo license whilst you are there. There is plenty of public transport from Kraków and many tours that will take you from Kraków to the salt mine. We hired a car and it took around 25 mins to drive there from the city; however it could definitely take longer during busy traffic times! We did the early morning tour so we could fit in the Auschwitz-Birkenau tour too, so it’s definitely feasible to do both in one day. #saltmine #poland #krakow
