Wooden Cabin, Kamna Gorica is a perfect spot for those wishing for a touch of solitude and village life. We reached here on foot from the charming town of Radovljca. It is splendid one-hour hike through a forest. Over halfway from the town is a footbridge over the rushing aquamarine Sava river. Getting there is half the fun. As for the accommodation, it boasts half a dozen wooden cabins large enough for two people to sleep. They are basic and would be further merited with a few cushions and curtains covering the small windows to their rear. That aside, the sheer idea of having these little shelters to oneself — and BBQ point in the garden within their confines — is quite fitting. The shared gender separated bathrooms are clean and well equipped, located in the main building directly behind the cabins themselves. There is an open kitchen with a communal area in which to cook and meet other travellers. When hiking from Radlovice you can be thankful this is one of the first places you come across on your left before entering the village proper.
