Anxious Expat's experience in Knysna

Knysna
Knysna is quite possibly the most accurate definition of tranquillity and early retirement. This holiday town is one of the most picturesque spots on Garden Route. The jaw-dropping scenery of the Knysna Lagoon can be observed from one of the endpoints called Knysna Heads. Then, you can take a ferry to the Featherbed Nature Reserve on an island inside the lagoon. The Knysna Waterfront is pretty much like the one in Cape Town on a smaller scale, but quite fun to explore. A bonus is the Mill House that depicts the short-lived gold mining industry in the area. You can't complete a Garden Route trip without encountering the adorable elephants of the Western Cape. Knysna Elephant Park is aimed to conserve the elephant population in the area, where you can join guided tours to feed and wash them. Beach getaway is also easy in Knysna. Buffels Bay and Knoetzie are two secluded beaches that only locals would know...until now. #landscape #lagoon #beach #elephants #roadtrip #gardenroute #southafrica
