Apparently, the mountains were a popular hideout for the royals during Chinese dynastic times. For an urban adventure, try exploring the hilly district at Central on Hong Kong Island. Sofeene warns us not to visit here on heels as she brings us through the intersecting lanes and narrow streets, occasionally popping into food stores and retail shops when it catches our fancy. Whilst I enjoy the scenery with the old and new architecture juxtapose side by side, the climb up the steep incline can be demanding.
