The Golden Gate Bridge is the most iconic symbol of San Francisco--maybe even California as a whole--and is a wonderful place to stop on any tour of the city. There are plenty of places you can go to get excellent views of the bridge, both inside and out of the city. Hyde Street Pier, near Ghirardelli Square, as well as the beaches on either side of the bridge are all excellent places to capture that perfect shot. If you're lucky enough to visit on a day without fog, you can see the bridge from afar at the famous Pier 39, or from Coit Tower.
