The stretch of beach between Granja and Espinho is a quiet spot with soft, blond sand and colourful flora. Whilst the sea is quite rough, the walk along the shore will reward you with tranquility and solitude. During the morning when the tide was out you could see clumps of rocks covered by mussels and seaweed. The sun sets at 20 past 8 towards the end of August, and if blessed with some cloud cover during the day the skies are painted in a spectrum of pink and orange hues. Further down at Espinho, there are water sports. Surfing schools teach novices how to ride the manageable waves whilst local folk cruise up and down the wide promenade between the town and beach. #photography #hiking #swimming
