Johanneskirche und Kirchengemeinde Stuttgart-West
This is one church in downtown Stuttgart not to miss. Built in Gothic revival style in the second half of the nineteenth century the church was almost destroyed in WWII. One interesting fact about this place is how the tower was left from being restored in order to serve as a memorial.
The small pond facing the rear of the church provides a pleasing foreground for photographers. Consequently, cleverly angled photos it can leave one with the impression it's flung alongside a riverbank away from any urban core.
