The wine valley of Guadalupe is home to some of the best wines AND some of the best chefs. Hacienda Guadalupe is a fine dining restaurant with chefs creating works of delectable art. My friend and I started our meal off with a bottle of their wine El Caporal, which is made on the property, and bone marrow topped with roasted pistachios and pesto. The nuts brought depth and substance to the delicate marrow. The next course, roasted beef rib with broccoli puree. The meat was so tender it fell of the bone and the slight bitterness of the broccoli puree pulled out the sweet flavors of the ribs. For dessert, house made pink peppercorn ice cream! The entire meal, pre tip, was around $80 USD. Need I say more.
