I stayed at Punta el Custodio which is a true hidden gem in Nayarit, Mexico. The property has 10 luxury villas. Mine was Corona del Mar. First of all, the villa is MASSIVE. There are 2 master bedrooms and 2 more double rooms. The open-air living room has front row views of the Pacific. I woke up and went to bed by the sound of crashing waves. In the photos here, you can see my daily view. The villa has an infinity pool, a large patio, an outdoor bar, a full kitchen that comes with a chef (Marta's cooking was better than my mom's but shhh, don't tell mom!) The villa is full of super cool local art. You'll see an entire wall covered in indigenous masks in the game room. The game room itself was extremely cozy. There's a couch to lounge on, a drawer full of movies on DVD, and tons of snacks. The sound system in the house is really cool - you control it from the game room and hear it everywhere in the house and on the patio. This spot is a great balance of nature and luxury.
