The area around Houhai Lake and the Drum Tower is scenic and filled with traditional Chinese #hutongs, or grey brick alleyways. It’s a great, #vintage neighborhood to wander around and stroll into various shops, some selling locally made #crafts such as paper cut-out or flour figurines, others selling more typical Chinese kitsch.
