The space is pretty small, but friendly staff and interesting temporary exhibits. The coolest thing is walking up the stairs and looking at all the photos in the 3-story tall mural - an amazing, diverse collection - and then crossing the street to zoom out and see the beautiful face they make up. The exhibits on notable African Americans, like Jimi Hendrix or Grace Jones, were great. Their exhibit on global Carnaval celebrations could have gone more into the history and meaning for the African diaspora.
