Albaicín
The Albaicín (or Albayzin) is a historic maze of streets tucked away behind Granada's Plaza Nueva and Darro River. This quarter is made up of narrow streets and white-washed houses overflowing with blooming flowers in the summer. The area leads to sights such as San Mirador de Nicolas - a wonderful viewpoint for the Alhambra, as well as Sacromonte - once home to the Roman gypsies and now, still home to some in hillside caves, with a couple of caves performing intense flamenco shows at night. #history #granada #albayzin #andalusia
