This place is special. If you do a little bit of reading you’ll know that most important monasteries in Tibet were burned down, the cultural relics and aren’t inside destroyed. But not at Palcho. Most of the monasteries and temples have been rebuilt but Palcho (and Potala Palace) is one place where you can see the original art from the 7th century. This big stupa contains over 10,000 murals. It’s really amazing to see and there are great views of the fort that looms over this dry town as well. #history #art #architecture
