Zoige Grassland is the best place in the world to see the last remaining traditional Tibetan nomadic culture. White nomads’ tents dot the landscape on the sides of the road, surrounded by the herds of domestic yak and protected by the menacing Tibetan mastiffs.  Curiously, most nomads’ households have a solar panel outside of their tents.
